Our exotic animal shows run about an hour. We share intriguing facts about the animals while the children hold and pet everything we bring (if they choose to). You may also have us stay longer so that the children can enjoy extra playtime with all their favorite new friends. We love to share our snakes, lizards, and other charming creatures.
Having a Reptacular Animal Birthday Party is an excellent opportunity for children to handle a variety of reptiles, instead of merely looking at them in books. Children love meeting our animals in person!
If your child has asked to have one of the animals we have as a pet, seeing the animal up close may help you make the right decision. And you can ask questions when we visit. We love helping families make the right pet match! You can also buy your pet and initial supplies through Reptacular Animals and we can even bring it to the birthday party as an extra special present!
We strive to have the lowest prices as well as the best party packages. If cost is the main factor and if there is a less expensive company, we’d love your business and are happy to match prices on comparable packages.

Include something for everyone with a mix of different types of animals --
from our largest reptiles and creepy crawlies to furry pocket pets and spectacular
parrots! Our Exotic Animal Mix Party features 21 stunning animals and lasts about
an hour and half. The finale includes the largest "big star" from each of the
snakes, lizards, tortoises, and birds. From an 11 foot python to an 85 pound

There are reptile parties ... and then there is the one and only Reptacular
Reptile Party! Instead of having ordinary reptiles visit your party, why not have
spectacular ones? Our exotic reptile party features 15 stunning animals and lasts
about an hour. You can also have us stay longer so that the children can play with
all their favorites again and again! The finale includes 3 "big stars" - one from
the snakes, lizards, and tortoises!

We offer a one-of-a-kind Exotic Reptile Petting Zoo! We set up a pen and children
(and adults!) come in to visit with all sorts of spectacular reptiles. From our frilled
lizard and bearded dragon to a bowl full of creepy crawlies and slimy frogs, there's amazing animals
to pet for everyone. Don't forget our adorable baby tortoises! Roaming around the pen
are a giant tortoise and large tegu lizard (your "big stars"). Our animal handler is in
charge of the snakes that visitors can touch or even choose to hold the "Big Star" snake
for a great photo op! Having our Exotic Reptile Petting Zoo is also a wonderful idea for
large groups, carnivals, and parties with a lot of entertainment going on!

Invite just the small furry animals to visit with a Pocket Pets Party! The Pocket
Pets Party has 12 cuddly animals including a bunnies & guinea pigs petting pen and lasts for one hour.
We give a simple hands-on presentation getting to know all the animals that lasts
20-30 minutes. For the rest of the time, the children can play in the bunny petting
pen or have second turns with all their other favorites. You can also have us stay
longer. (The $150 price is only available within 30 miles of us. Over 30 miles is $175 plus applicable travel charge.)

If you'd like only bunnies to visit, we set up a bunny pen and the children can come and
go playing, feeding, and brushing all the bunnies. (The $125 price is only available within
50 miles of us. Over 50 miles is $150 plus applicable travel charge.)
By popular request, we now offer a Tortoise & the Hare themed bunny pen! Add on some tortoises of all sizes
including one "big star" for $25 extra. Or we can even add on some guinea pigs plus a mini chicken for $25 extra.

Fall in love with all of our feathered friends! The Exotic Bird Party includes
12 spectacular, friendly birds and parrots for one hour. The finale includes a
"big star from the birds."
The birthday child also gets the chance to feed our rainbow lorikeet (as seen
at the Long Beach Aquarium or San Diego Wild Animal Park). We give a simple
hands-on presentation getting to know all the birds that lasts 20-30 minutes.
For the rest of the time, the children can have second turns with all their
other favorites and/or we can do photo ops for guests to pose with one of the
large parrots. You can also have us stay longer.

The Brief Encounters Animal Show is our shorter show option. The Brief Encounters include 8 or 12 animals of your choice including snakes, lizards, frogs, bugs, turtles, tortoises, pocket pets and/or smaller birds.
The "Big Stars" featured in our animal photo galleries are NOT included with the Brief Encounters Show.
We offer a 30 minute Brief Encounters for $99 that includes 8 amazing animals! This package is only available at
this price within the following areas: San Fernando Valley (east of Topanga Blvd), Hollywood, Sylmar, La Canada, Glendale,
Los Feliz. We also offer our 30 minute show for $125 for up to 30 miles away (ex. Santa Clarita, Santa Monica,
Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Pasadena, Simi Valley) We also offer a 45 minute Brief Encounters (you must be within
30 miles of us) that's $145 and includes 12 animals. We do NOT travel over 30 miles away with our Brief Encounters shows.

All of our party packages are customizable! That means you or the birthday child can choose exactly which
animals he or she wants (or would not like) that are within your party package. Check out our

to meet many of our actual animals and choose your favorites! We always try to bring as many of the selected
animals that we can, but due to multiple parties sometimes not all are available. We offer the only
customizable parties out there!

There is no traveling charge if your party is within 30 miles of us in Burbank! If you're
beyond 30 miles from us, see the chart with our rates further down this page. Remember, we
don't travel over 30 miles for our Brief Encounters parties.

Plus It Up:
With the Exotic Reptile Party and Mini Mix Party, for $50 extra you can choose to upgrade your "Big Stars" to larger
ones plus get a FREE assistant! These larger "Big Stars" are Athena or Calypso (stunning 10 foot Albino Burmese pythons),
Sultan the impressive 80 pound tortoise, and Yoshi the leash walking 5 foot black throat monitor lizard. These "Big Stars"
are only available if you "Plus It Up" as they're much heavier and require an assistant.

Extra Time:
We can stay longer after any show. Extra time can be spent doing "open house" (extra turns visiting with the animals), photo ops with the "big stars," or even dividing into smaller shows for large groups (especially great for preschools and camps). Extra time is the same rate for any package and we can do anything you'd like within the time. It's $25 for an extra 15 minutes, $50 for an extra half hour, and $75 for each additional hour. For shows over 4 hours, we offer flat rate discounts.
Assistants: All shows come with one (spectacular!) entertainer. If you'd like to add an assistant, a second handler
allows more children to get a hands-on experience with larger groups. With 2 handlers then 30 children and under are
completely hands-on and everyone holds and touches all the animals if they choose to; with 30-60 children everyone just
touches the animals if they'd like; and with groups over 60, we do an interactive show that incorporates many hands-on
volunteers. You can add on an assistant to any size of group for $20 per hour. Note: The Exotic Animal Mix and Deluxe
Petting Zoo always includes an assistant for free!
Miniature Horse: Pegasus, our mini horse, can be added onto any package for $50 when available as he is always reserved for petting zoos.
Chihuahuas: Taco and Snoopy, our chihuahuas, come together and can be added onto any package for $25.
Petting Zoo Add-ons:
For a truly one-of-a-kind petting zoo, you can add the following onto a petting zoo:
Reptiles: One "big star" (snake or lizard) for $25 or 5 reptiles including 2 "big stars" (snake and lizard) for $50
Pocket Pets: Add 5 pocket pets of your choice for $25
Parrots: One "big star" parrot for $25 or 5 parrots of various sizes including a "big star" parrot for $50
Costumed Character Animal Parties: What if a popular video game character came to your reptile show? Or a friendly pirate brought in all the parrots? One of our spectacular performers (Mystery Mike of
www.MysteriesByMike.com) can come dressed up and does the animal show in character for $100 extra.
With many characters to choose from (Video Game Character, Pirate, Cowboy, Fireman, Police Officer, Detective, Spy, and more), there's sure to be a favorite for everyone! You can even have the character stay longer after the animal show and play games with the kids. This add-on is not available for the Exotic Animal Mix package.
Mystery Animal Parties: Reptacular Animals has teamed up with
Mystery Mike for a totally different kind of animal experience. The animal party is based around a scavenger hunt where the children have to figure out clues to discover the next animal. Lead by a bumbling detective or a daring adventurer, the children get to handle each animal as it's discovered and clues lead up to the big finale of our "big stars". Recommended for ages 5 and up and smaller groups are ideal. The cost is $200 plus the cost of the chosen animal package and includes a phone consultation prior to the party to lay out the scavenger hunt. This add-on is not available for the Exotic Animal Mix package.

Reptacular Animals offers goodie bags themed to your party package! Each goodie bag comes with a Reptacular Animals
coloring picture, 4 toys (themed to your specific party package), animal pencil, animal temporary tattoo, animal sticker,
and 2 lollipops (can be omitted by request). At only $3 per bag, these fun souvenirs gifts are sure to be a hit at
your party, too! |

Before the Party Parking: A close parking space is greatly appreciated, or at least a close unloading spot. We bring many animal containers and crates.
Shade/Heat: Especially in the summer, animals can overheat (and kids do, too); we always need a comfortable shady spot. We can also locate indoors. If it's over 100 degrees then for any of our "show" packages, animals will need to be kept in A/C and can be taken outside just during their part of the show. If access to A/C is not available (ex. parks) then we will need to be provided with 6 bags of ice to put the animal carriers on to keep them cool.
Scheduling: If you're booking us for a show, we highly recommend leaving a little leeway between the start of your party and the start of our show. (15-30 minutes minimum is advised.) If you're running behind schedule, we normally cannot wait to start the show due to multiple, stacking events. So we will have to leave at the original end time and shorten the show. If we are able to delay the start time, you will receive the full time and we charge $5 for every five minutes from the original start time.
Set Up: Our set up time takes about 10 minutes. It goes much faster if the guests can wait to be surprised by the animals until we're ready to start. So, if your show is at 2pm, we'd arrive around 1:45 p.m. to set up.
Large Groups (Parties):Rather than charging extra, if you're expecting quite a few young guests, we highly recommend booking additional time as it will take longer for all the children to handle each animal. Otherwise we can run out of time and might not be able to bring out every animal. The birthday child always gets to hold everything if they'd like to regardless of the size of the group. With 20 children and under our shows are completely hands-on and everyone holds all the animals if they choose to; with 20-43 children everyone just touches the animals if they'd like; and with groups over 30, we do an interactive show that incorporates many hands-on volunteers.
Large Groups (Preschools, Camps, Etc.):
We don't charge extra for large groups, ever! Large groups have a choice of booking one large, interactive show or breaking into smaller shows for a more hands-on experience. (If you choose to break into smaller groups, we bring an appropriate number of animals for the show length.) The same breakdown applies: with 20 children and under our shows are completely hands-on and everyone holds and touches all the animals if they choose to; with 20-30 children everyone just touches the animals if they'd like; and with groups over 30, we do an interactive show that incorporates many hands-on volunteers.
Large Events: Great in carnival-type settings, we run a booth that rotates small groups in to visit with the animals. We also can do large, interactive shows. We can even run a booth as well as conducting shows.
Open House: Open House is great for all! There is no show. Rather we set up with the animals and everyone can visit with the animals at their leisure as we answer any questions about the animals. Any additional time booked after the party is all Open House and everyone can play with their favorites as long as they like.
Insurance: We carry full liability insurance and can provide a copy if
requested. Some organizations require to be added as an additional insured - which is no
problem - but our insurance company charges an extra fee.
Animal Safety: Our animals are well-cared for, and are used to being handled by children. However, if one is having an "off day," (just like people do), we will hold it back. We don't force our animals to perform.
Deposit: To book a show with us, a deposit by credit card, check, or PayPal is required. The deposit is non-refundable, but will still apply if the reservation needs to be rescheduled, postponed, or switched to a different animal package up to 1 week prior to the date. Any package changes (including cancelling extra time) or postponing within 1 week of the event will only have the deposit credited to a future event if changes were due to rain. All deposit credits must be used within 90 days of the original event date.
Credit Cards: If you would like to pay the balance by credit card, there is a 3% fee. Credit card payment must be made at least 24 hours prior to the event or by the Friday before if it's on the weekend. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We cannot accept credit cards on location; payment in cash or check is due the day of the event. To charge the balance on a credit card after the event, there is an additional $5 service fee.
Cancellation: If a cancellation notice is not given at least 6 hours before the event and the entertainer arrives, the full balance of the show will need to be paid. If the full balance is not paid, it will be charged to the deposit holder's credit card or will be pursued legally. The client agrees to these terms by making a reservation. The client will also have to pay for any fees associated with collecting full payment.
During the Party Birthday Child: We start the presentation by having everyone sing a warm, Reptacular Animals "Happy Birthday" to the birthday child(ren). They will also be the first to handle each animal (if they choose) and also may help us pass around the animals if they'd like to join us as our "Junior Trainer."
Food: If you are having a show, we recommend serving food before or after it. Serving food during the show will be a distraction. We always remind the children to wash their hands after handling the animals. We do carry hand sanitizer, but soap and water is still the best.
Pictures: Taking pictures is encouraged -- as many as you like! Please take pictures while each animal is being featured. Due to time constraints, we aren't able to uncrate them again -- unless you've booked extra play time.
Chairs: You don't need to have chairs for the guests, but we find that younger children especially are more engaged if they sit in a chair. All children must be sitting down when holding an animal.
Air Jumps (Bouncers): If we're doing a show, it's a good idea to deflate bouncers during the show as it can be a huge distraction for the children.
Supervision: Your children want to share this experience with you! If parents are engaged, the children will be too. Adults love Reptacular Animal parties just as much as the kids. Sometimes it's the first time parents (and grandparents!) ever touch a snake! If some adults wish to socialize, please do so away from the presentation area to eliminate distraction and noise.
After the Party Clean Up: We always carry hand sanitizer, but it is important that all guests wash with soap and water after handling animals. Make sure children wash their hands before eating!
Gratuity:
Gratuity is not included in the fee, but is optional. Our staff sincerely appreciates your gratuity for a job well done.
Payment (Private Events):
If you haven't paid prior to the party, cash or check payment is due the day of the event. The full balance should be
paid by the day of the event. If for some reason that doesn't happen, then payment must be made by the following
business day. After one business day, there will be a $10 fee per week of us waiting to receive full payment.
Any amount not paid in full within 30 days is subject to additional interest, penalties, collection fees, and/or
additional court fees. By using our services, the client agrees to these terms.
Payment (Corporate / Agency Events):
Sometimes organizations have to wait on a check so payment is not ready on the day of the event. There is a 7 day
grace period for payment. After one week, there will be a $10 fee per week of us waiting to receive full payment.
Any amount not paid in full within 60 days is subject to additional interest, penalties, collection fees, and/or
additional court fees. By using our services, the organization agrees to these terms.
Returned Check Policy:
Reptacular Animals is happy to offer the privilege of accepting a check payment the day of the show. Any returned check
is subject to a $25.00 collection fee plus a $10.00 insufficient funds fee when returned check happens initially.
If payment is not resolved immediately, there will be a $10 fee added on per week from the original event date.
Any amount not paid in full within 30 days is subject to additional interest, penalties, collection fees, and/or
additional court fees. By writing a check the day of the show, the check writer agrees to these terms.
Goodbye: If you have not booked us to stay for additional time, we do leave promptly since we often have multiple parties to attend. Happily for us, animal parties are very popular.
