Reptacular Animals gets numerous requests for us to take in unwanted pet rabbits. We do take in a lot of them and sometimes they even come to us pregnant so we end up with babies. We do not promote breeding nor are a rabbit breeder – there’s so many that need a wonderful and permanent home so please adopt.

Baby Bunnies
Baby Bunnies under 3 months old are $20 each or a pair for $30. Our rabbits are pretty social so they do well with a friend. We can usually sex the older baby bunnies and can give you a same-sex pair. All our baby bunnies have been handled and socialized since they were tiny and are very friendly.

Rabbit Care
Here’s the full truth of pet rabbits from Reptacular Animals! Rabbits can be wonderful pets! However, they also get idealized A LOT so we want to make sure you consider the full picture before committing to your new pet.

    1. Like all furry animals, you will need to check on its food and water daily.
    2. Bunnies love fresh veggies like carrots and leafy greens in addition to hay.
    3. The more you play with your Reptacular bunny, the friendlier it will be.
    4. Rabbits can and do scratch. Our rabbits never scratch to be mean. But if they are not picked up or handled in a way that supports their body, they will flail their legs and can result in a scratch.
    5. When we bring your new pet, our Reptacular Animals expert will show you how to properly carry and hold your bunny and trim its nails to reduce scratches.
    6. Rabbits can be stinky! If you opt for an indoor cage (one with a plastic bottom), the bedding will need to be fully changed about once a week. Rabbits tend to go to the bathroom in one corner, so you can change the bedding in that corner daily to reduce the smell. We’ve also heard of successful potty training of rabbits. Rabbit hutches or wire bottom cages allow the droppings to fall through and makes cage cleaning much easier and keep the rabbit’s cage clean pretty much all the time.
    7. After considering all the responsibilities of owning a pet rabbit, hopefully you decide one (or two) bunnies would be a great new addition to your family!
